Postdoctoral Fellow – Membranes & Electrocatalysis for CO₂ Capture

About the role

The Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to conduct research on advanced membranes and electrochemical technologies for sustainable energy and environmental applications. The role involves developing and characterizing functional materials, performing laboratory experiments, analyzing results, and contributing to publications and technical reports.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and characterize functional membrane and catalyst materials.
• Perform laboratory experiments and electrochemical testing.
• Analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports.
• Contribute to peer‑reviewed publications.
• Support supervision of graduate students.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary research team.

Required profile

• PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry or a closely related field.
• Research experience in membrane technology, electrocatalysis or electrochemical systems.
• Hands‑on experience in materials synthesis, characterization and data analysis.
• Record of peer‑reviewed publications.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a commitment to laboratory safety.
