Power BI Developer (Data Specialist)

About the role

Meydan Free Zone is seeking a dynamic Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI reports and dashboards. You will collaborate with stakeholders to transform raw data into actionable insights that support informed business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that clearly communicate data trends.
• Design robust data models ensuring data integrity and efficient reporting.
• Integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL databases, Excel spreadsheets, and third‑party applications.
• Optimize Power BI solutions for performance and efficiency.
• Work closely with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to translate reporting needs into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with reports and data sources to maintain accuracy.
• Establish best practices for Power BI development, data governance, and visualization standards.
• Mentor junior developers on Power BI techniques and best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar data‑focused role.
• Proven experience leading ERP projects or similar initiatives.
• Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.

Required skills

• Power BI (including custom visuals, Power BI Service, Power BI Embedded)
• SQL
• Microsoft Excel
• Python or R for data analysis and visualization
• Agile and Scrum project management methodologies
