Pricing Manager Reinsurance

About the role

QBE is seeking an experienced Pricing Manager to lead pricing strategy for its reinsurance portfolio. This senior position works closely with underwriting and portfolio management to drive profitable growth and ensure data‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement pricing strategies that support sustainable and profitable growth across the reinsurance portfolio.
• Partner with Underwriting and Portfolio Management teams to provide commercial pricing expertise and influence key business decisions.
• Lead and oversee pricing activities, ensuring robust modelling, analysis and insights underpin business decisions.
• Design, enhance and maintain pricing models, tools and methodologies to meet evolving business needs.
• Deliver portfolio, product and profitability analyses, identifying trends, opportunities and emerging risks.
• Support business planning, forecasting and performance monitoring through pricing and management information.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on pricing matters.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of pricing professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Significant actuarial pricing experience within Life, General Insurance or Reinsurance markets.
• Proven track record of developing pricing strategies and delivering commercially focused solutions.
• Leadership experience with a history of building and managing high‑performing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, comfortable engaging senior business leaders.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance technical excellence with business objectives.
