Primary School Teacher (KS1)

About the role

Aldar Education is recruiting a Primary Teacher for Muna British Academy in Abu Dhabi, joining in August 2026. The school follows the England National Curriculum and serves students from FS1 to Year 7; it recently moved to a new campus in Saadiyat Lagoons and is expanding its secondary year groups. The post is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Teach KS1 using the KS1 curriculum, syllabus, materials and schemes of work, planning lessons in the long, medium and short term to meet pupils' individual needs
• Organise classroom provision and resources, create displays and support KS1 leaders in improving teaching and learning
• Motivate students with enjoyable, creative lessons that challenge them and promote critical thinking
• Observe and assess pupils according to school assessments and adjust planning and curriculum accordingly
• Support SEN (POD), EAL and G&T students through differentiation and liaise with speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists when needed
• Facilitate hybrid, distance and face-to-face lessons
• Work in a curriculum action group, take part in school events and ECAs, and communicate with parents about achievements and well-being
• Pursue own professional development

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Primary Education or a bachelor's degree with a mandatory post-teaching qualification (PGCE or similar)
• At least 1 year of experience teaching the England National Curriculum in a primary setting
• Experience with EAL students and ability to work professionally with a range of stakeholders
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with parents in a diverse, multicultural environment
