Primary Teacher (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking a Primary Teacher (Maternity Cover) for Bateen World Academy, starting November 2026. The role involves delivering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) to students from FS1 to Year 6 in a high‑achieving British and IB school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver outstanding lessons aligned with the school’s Teaching and Learning Policy.
• Differentiate instruction for SEN, EAL and gifted & talented learners.
• Use assessment data and ICT tools to inform planning and track progress.
• Maintain discipline and uphold the Behaviour for Learning Policy.
• Mark student work regularly, set progress targets, and record outcomes.
• Prepare reports for parents and participate in parent‑student events.
• Contribute to curriculum development and keep subject knowledge up‑to‑date through CPD.
• Lead or support a CAS after‑school activity each term.
• Serve as Academic Mentor and Extended Essay Supervisor for Year 12/13.
• Cover for absent colleagues, invigilate examinations, and perform duties on the staff rota.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
• Experience teaching PYP or British curriculum in international schools.
• Knowledge of UAE Ministry of Education and ADEK regulations.
• Commitment to the school’s vision, IB philosophy, and professional development.
• Clean enhanced DBS/police check.
