Principal ELV & IBMS Engineer – Data Centres (Dubai)

About the role

Ramboll is building its MENA data centre practice and seeks a Principal ELV & IBMS Engineer to act as the systems integration authority for mission‑critical data centre projects in Dubai. The role involves leading the design, integration and commissioning of extra‑low‑voltage (ELV) and Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS) across large‑scale facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead end‑to‑end ELV system design and IBMS architecture for data centres up to 80 MW.
• Develop integration strategies and oversee detailed design, vendor evaluation and testing procedures.
• Provide commissioning support and validate live system performance.
• Lead cross‑discipline discussions on BMS‑electrical interfaces, EPMS integration and power monitoring.
• Coordinate mechanical integration including HVAC sensor networks and control logic.
• Integrate security solutions such as SOC workflows and surveillance architecture.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless system interoperability.

Required profile

• Principal‑level experience in ELV and IBMS engineering for data centres.
• Proven track record on projects with rack densities approaching 100 kW.
• Strong knowledge of MEP coordination in large‑scale facilities.
