Principal - Landscape Architect

About the role

WSP is looking for an experienced Principal Landscape Architect to lead the landscape design delivery for large‑scale transport and infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. This senior technical and leadership position will shape streetscapes, public realms and land‑development landscapes across the Emirate.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation of landscape architecture design packages from concept through detailed design and construction support.
• Provide design direction and technical oversight for roads, highways, utilities corridors and public realm projects.
• Coordinate closely with roads, utilities, drainage, structures, lighting, urban design and environmental teams to ensure integrated solutions.
• Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, schedules and reports for quality and compliance.
• Act as the primary liaison with clients and Abu Dhabi authorities, leading design reviews and authority meetings.
• Support tendering and construction phases by reviewing contractor submittals, shop drawings and material samples.
• Mentor and develop landscape architects and support staff, promoting best practice and innovation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
• Extensive experience delivering landscape design on large infrastructure and land‑development projects in Abu Dhabi.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex project interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi standards, guidelines and approval processes.
