Principal Product Manager - Private Investments AI

About the role

Inception42, a G42 company, is looking for a hands-on Principal Product Manager with deep FinTech expertise to lead Alpha, its investment and credit AI product. You will own strategy, roadmap and outcomes for institutional investors, lenders and financial analysts, and lead cross-functional teams spanning Design, Engineering, Science, domain experts and Growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define Alpha's vision, target segments, differentiation and roadmap, and assess competitors and incumbent research tools
• Work with analysts, portfolio managers and credit teams to turn recurring needs into reusable workflows, prioritising by impact, commercial potential, feasibility and risk
• Own requirements for opportunity screening, company and sector research, due diligence, valuation support and investment committee materials
• Develop credit workflows: financial statement, cash-flow and debt-service analysis, downside scenarios, credit memos, covenant review and portfolio monitoring
• Translate user needs into AI requirements with Science and Engineering, including models, RAG, context, memory, tool use and agent orchestration
• Ensure reliable extraction and reconciliation across documents and tables, and make outputs traceable to source evidence
• Own evaluation rubrics, test sets and analyst review, set release thresholds and monitor regressions
• Build in AI disclosure, permissions, audit trails and data residency, and define approved uses with customers' governance teams
• Lead discovery through launch and iteration, own the business case and performance, and convert pilots into production use
• Mentor product managers, contribute to hiring and communicate with investment and credit leaders

Required profile

• 10+ years in product management or closely related roles, with a record of launching and scaling financial technology
• Knowledge of institutional investment and credit workflows, with fluency across both
• Experience building products for analysts, investment teams, lenders or risk professionals
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, computer science, engineering, business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Preferred: investment banking, asset management, private equity, private credit or credit research experience; CFA, FRM or similar qualification; Arabic and bilingual product experience

Required skills

• Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation, leverage and credit risk
• Practical fluency in large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, context, memory, tool use and evaluations
• Hands-on use of AI tools to prototype workflows and test model behaviour
• Excel, SQL or comparable tools for data investigation and hypothesis testing
