Principal Project Manager – High‑Rise & Luxury Developments

About the role

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of complex high‑rise, mixed‑use and luxury developments. You will be the single point of accountability for design excellence, programme certainty, cost control, risk management and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, programme, budgets, risks and governance from inception to delivery.
• Act as Project Manager/Project Principal in line with Mott MacDonald’s management systems and QA/QC procedures.
• Lead multi‑disciplinary design teams, oversee design reviews and technical assurance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards and client requirements across all disciplines.
• Maintain control of programme, cost, risk, change and reporting throughout the project.
• Manage commercial aspects including fee utilisation, forecasting and variation management.
• Build and sustain strong client and stakeholder relationships as a trusted advisor.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering an inclusive, high‑performance culture.
• Identify and mitigate project, technical and reputational risks while spotting opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture (MSc a plus).
• Chartered Engineer / Architect or equivalent professional registration preferred.
• Proven experience delivering high‑rise, mixed‑use and luxury developments.
• Experience in the Middle East / Gulf region and within a consultancy environment.
• Strong leadership, client‑facing and communication abilities.
• Arabic language skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
