Principal Resident Engineer

About the role

KN International is seeking a highly experienced Principal Resident Engineer to lead infrastructure services on a major project in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on overseeing pumping stations, fluid‑mechanics systems and related mechanical and electrical works, ensuring compliance with local regulations and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise pumping stations, fluid‑mechanics systems and M&E installations.
• Monitor contractor performance, enforce safety standards and conduct quality control.
• Carry out regular site inspections, progress tracking and risk mitigation.
• Manage RFIs, submittals and technical queries for mechanical and electrical works.
• Collaborate with consultants, government authorities and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Review material approvals, method statements and shop drawings.
• Participate in weekly and monthly progress meetings, providing technical updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in infrastructure services, preferably in the UAE.
• Extensive background with main pumping stations, 33 kV substations and transmission networks.
• Experience with TRANSCO or TAQA approvals is preferred.
• Proven track record in construction supervision, quality control and contract administration.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
