Principal Software Test Engineer

About the role

Principal Software Test Engineer at ADASI, a leading aerospace company in Abu Dhabi, focusing on safety‑critical aviation and UAV software. The role leads a testing team for embedded and avionics systems, ensuring compliance with RTCA DO‑178C.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the software testing team to deliver test plans, cases and results on schedule.
• Design, maintain and execute manual and automated test cases from requirements and design documents.
• Ensure RTCA DO‑178C compliance for safety‑critical software.
• Manage the full testing lifecycle, including defect reporting and closure.
• Mentor team members on test automation, CI and QA best practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional groups for system integration and validation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics or related engineering.
• 10+ years of software testing experience, primarily on embedded and aerospace systems.
• Proven experience leading testing teams and delivering test artifacts.

Required skills

• QT framework.
• RTCA DO‑178C knowledge.
• Embedded systems testing.
• UAV systems testing (preferred).
• Automated testing frameworks and tools.
• Agile and Test‑Driven Development methodologies.
