Printing Press Manager

About the role

The Printing Press Manager will lead the entire printing operation, ensuring efficient production, high quality output, cost control and on‑time delivery across offset, digital, packaging, thermal roll and continuous‑form printing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and supervise daily to monthly production activities, allocate jobs to appropriate machines and monitor schedules to minimise downtime.
• Supervise offset, digital, packaging, thermal roll and computer‑forms printing, ensuring correct set‑up, colour accuracy, material usage and waste reduction.
• Maintain quality standards, inspect samples, handle customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
• Control production costs, monitor consumables, analyse waste and assist in preparing quotations.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs and keep detailed equipment records.
• Manage staff, create shift schedules, train operators on safety, quality and machine operation, and monitor performance.
• Coordinate purchasing and inventory to avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance throughout the plant.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Printing Technology, Graphic Arts, Production Management or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in commercial printing production, with proven management experience.
• Strong knowledge of printing materials, machinery and production processes.
