Process & Maintenance Technician – PCBA

About the role

As a Process & Maintenance Technician‑PCBA you will maintain PCBA production equipment and processes to ensure optimal performance, reliability and product quality. You will work in Eaton’s Dubai hub, supporting a strategic Middle East operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SMT machines, reflow ovens, wave/selective soldering equipment, conveyors, AOI/SPI, ICT/FCT stations and related tools.
• Deploy auto‑maintenance via Digital Work Instructions and schedule production stops using the MES tool.
• Implement predictive maintenance using Industry 4.0 tools and monitor real‑time KPIs such as MTBF and MTTR.
• Act as primary contact with equipment suppliers for breakdown remediation and define recovery plans.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of recurring failures and support equipment installations, qualifications and upgrades.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Mechatronics engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, preferably in PCBA process and equipment maintenance.
• Proven experience with machine installation, maintenance departments and familiarity with PLCs, sensors and automation systems.

Required skills

• Mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Operation and maintenance of SMT, reflow, wave/selective soldering, AOI/SPI and ICT/FCT equipment.
• Use of Digital Work Instructions, MES tools and Industry 4.0 predictive‑maintenance platforms.
• Knowledge of ESD safety, preventive‑maintenance planning and root‑cause analysis.
