Process Supervisor – Oil & Gas Operations

About the role

The Process Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient and economical operation of process plants and storage & export facilities on an assigned shift. The role ensures production targets are met while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Meet oil production and gas supply requirements.
• Supervise receipt, storage and export of crude oil using pumps, turbine meters and provers.
• Oversee de‑commissioning and commissioning of tanks, including maintenance and desludging.
• Review and prepare operating and commissioning procedures for all plants.
• Analyse IDP system data to ensure personnel competency.
• Prepare isolation programmes and verify gas‑free conditions before maintenance or modification work.
• Maintain log books, plant condition records and troubleshoot plant performance.
• Liaise with laboratory technicians for product and export sample testing to ensure quality control.
• Monitor chemicals and consumables, maintaining safe stock levels.
• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area and train staff.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in oil & gas process operations.
• Proven supervisory or team‑lead experience in a plant environment.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Ability to prepare and follow detailed operating procedures.
