Procurement Assistant

About the role

As a Procurement Assistant you will support project teams by ensuring the timely supply of materials and services needed for construction activities in Abu Dhabi. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to secure the best value while complying with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end procurement process for general materials and services, including obtaining quotations, negotiating terms, preparing bid analyses and issuing purchase orders.
• Monitor open purchase orders, follow up on deliveries and resolve any supply issues to keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation throughout the Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) cycle and ensure compliance with BESIX procurement governance.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers and collaborate with requisition owners and cross‑functional teams.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and support continuous improvement initiatives in supplier management.

Required profile

• Previous procurement experience in the civil construction industry with solid knowledge of civil materials and services.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Proven ability to work with ERP systems and procurement‑related software.
• Strong negotiation, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
