Procurement Assistant / Purchasing Assistant (Remote)

About the role

This full‑time remote position supports the procurement function for electrical installation projects. You will handle purchase requests, manage purchase orders and help source materials while ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requests and prepare, track, and file purchase orders.
• Assist in sourcing materials and equipment for electrical installation projects.
• Communicate regularly with suppliers, internal project teams, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain procurement records, update databases and spreadsheets, and monitor stock levels.
• Help resolve delivery or invoicing issues.
• Support continuous improvement of purchasing processes.
• Contribute to strong supplier relationships in line with company standards.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of purchasing processes and procurement workflows.
• Experience creating, managing, and tracking purchase orders with attention to detail.
• Practical knowledge of vendor coordination and basic cost comparison or negotiation.
• Effective communication skills for remote collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
• Good organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Proficiency with office software and basic data entry or ERP systems.
• Interest or experience in electrical contracting, construction, or engineering environments (beneficial).
• Relevant qualification or training in business, supply chain, procurement, or a related field (advantage).
