Procurement Consultant

About the role

The Procurement Consultant will lead the management of sub‑consultant frameworks and the overall supply base for projects in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure that frameworks are performance‑driven, aligned with category strategy, and integrated into consistent sourcing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and refresh sub‑consultant frameworks to match market capacity and business needs.
• Design supplier performance criteria, refresh cycles, and escalation routes.
• Introduce performance tracking and use insights to optimise the supply base.
• Reduce maverick sourcing and improve mobilisation speed through active framework use.
• Identify capacity gaps, capability risks, and opportunities for supply‑base streamlining.
• Support definition of in‑house vs outsource principles and provide supply‑base insight for decision‑making.
• Coordinate with technical, commercial, and capacity stakeholders to shape category strategy.
• Define mandatory sourcing steps, ensure audit‑ready documentation, and integrate frameworks with standardised sourcing pathways.
• Provide guidance on ERP use for all sourcing activities and continuously refine processes based on lessons learned.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, category management, or supplier management.
• Proven experience managing frameworks or preferred supplier lists.
• Strong understanding of sourcing governance and audit requirements.
• Excellent analytical capability with the ability to interpret performance data.
• Effective communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
