Procurement Executive – Chemical Industry

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Procurement Executive to lead end‑to‑end sourcing activities within the chemical, petrochemical or specialty chemicals sector. The role involves managing supplier relationships, executing strategic sourcing initiatives and ensuring seamless procurement operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute full procurement cycle: vendor sourcing, RFQs, quotation analysis, PO creation and order tracking.
• Validate purchase requisitions and ensure compliance with procurement policies and audit standards.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, handle onboarding, price negotiations and contract renewals.
• Resolve supplier‑related non‑conformance reports and conduct performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with Business Development Managers on sourcing strategies and demand‑supply planning.
• Perform quarterly inventory reviews and recommend optimal reorder levels.
• Work closely with Sales, Logistics, Finance and Business Development teams to align procurement with business needs.
• Maintain procurement records, pricing trackers and generate performance dashboards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Petrochemicals, Industrial Chemistry or related field.
• 1‑5 years of procurement experience in chemical, petrochemical, lubricants, specialty chemicals, oil & gas or manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
