Procurement Officer - Interior Fit-Out & Joinery

About the role

M Qube Interiors Carpentry LLC is a Dubai-based interior fit-out and carpentry/joinery company serving residential, commercial, retail and corporate projects. The Procurement Officer sources the materials, products and services needed for fit-out works, custom joinery, furniture manufacturing, gypsum and ceiling works, partitions, flooring, painting and finishing. The role works closely with project execution teams, quantity surveyors, draftsmen, foremen and suppliers to secure materials on schedule and within approved budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain and compare supplier quotations for project materials, joinery components, furniture and subcontracted services.
• Prepare purchase orders and coordinate approvals, delivery schedules and site requirements with project teams.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships, evaluating quality, pricing, lead times and service reliability, and identifying alternative sources.
• Track orders from requisition through delivery, resolve shortages or discrepancies and keep procurement records accurate.
• Coordinate with quantity surveyors and project managers so purchases match specifications, quantities, budgets and timelines.
• Support cost control through price negotiation, spend tracking and documented procurement decisions.
• Check delivered items against orders and specifications and escalate quality or delivery issues.

Required profile

• Experience purchasing construction, interior fit-out, carpentry, joinery or building-finish materials.
• Ability to prepare and analyse quotations, purchase orders, comparisons and supplier evaluations.
• Working knowledge of materials used in furniture manufacturing, gypsum and ceilings, partitions, flooring and finishing.
• Confident negotiation, supplier communication and relationship management skills.
• Strong coordination skills to align deliveries with project schedules and site needs.
• Accurate record keeping, document control, order tracking and attention to specifications and quantities.
• Cost-conscious approach, sound judgment and prompt resolution of delivery or quality issues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets and standard procurement or inventory systems.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
