Procurement Team Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Team Lead to join our Pipe Support Systems division in Dubai. The role will oversee end‑to‑end procurement activities, manage vendor relationships and lead a small team to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement cycle, from forecasting and purchase order creation to shipment arrival.
• Develop and maintain relationships with business partners, third‑party importers and domestic suppliers.
• Strategic purchasing for Dubai, Qatar and KSA based on sales forecasts and project pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with procurement SOPs and monitor vendor performance, lead times and payment terms.
• Update ETAs in SAP, generate monthly/quarterly MIS reports and track cost‑saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Production, Warehouse and SAP teams through regular meetings.
• Lead, coach and balance workload of the procurement team, covering peak periods and absences.
• Train new joiners and monitor performance during probation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Master’s desirable).
• 8–10 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in the UAE.
• Previous experience in India (Maharashtra, Mumbai or Pune) is a plus.
• Proven track record in a manufacturing environment sourcing raw materials.
• Full UAE driving licence.
• Fluent in English and Hindi.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP (or similar ERP) procurement modules.
• Vendor evaluation, onboarding and performance monitoring.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience with cost‑saving analysis and reporting.
