Product Owner – Payments

About the role

Superchat AI is seeking a Product Owner to lead its Payments vertical in Dubai. You will own the end‑to‑end roadmap, drive operational excellence, and manage key partnerships that enable seamless money movement for our users across domestic and cross‑border corridors.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Payments product roadmap from ideation through launch and growth.
• Build and scale payment infrastructure, ensuring reliability and compliance.
• Translate user needs and market opportunities into clear product specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering on technical trade‑offs, integration approaches, and delivery timelines.
• Manage relationships with payment processors, banks, and other partners.
• Navigate regulatory and compliance requirements for UAE and international payment corridors.
• Define, monitor, and report on product KPIs such as transaction success rate, settlement performance, activation, and retention.
• Own reconciliation, settlement, and exception‑handling processes in partnership with operations and finance.
• Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and Risk to ensure all releases meet regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in payments or a similarly regulated industry.
• Deep understanding of payment flows, including authorization, settlement, reconciliation, FX, and compliance.
• Proven ability to work directly with payment processors, banks, or payment partners.
• Hands‑on approach: writing specs, engaging engineers, and driving partner negotiations.
• Strong analytical mindset; decisions driven by data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for leadership, partners, and regulators.
• Experience shipping products in a regulated environment and a bias toward action.
