Production Engineer – Structural

About the role

The Production Engineer applies conceptual knowledge of offshore fabrication and construction, working with moderate guidance to solve straightforward fabrication problems and support project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Review project scope, schedules and specifications to understand requirements and deliverables.
• Prepare scope of work and task listings, and review fabrication schedules for accuracy.
• Assess drawings for constructability, identify special items and subcontract requirements.
• Monitor material deliveries, review requisitions, and suggest substitutions when appropriate.
• Provide field guidance, ensure compliance with company specifications, and attend production meetings.
• Report weekly fabrication progress, track man‑hours and productivity, and coordinate scope changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• At least 3 years of oil‑and‑gas experience with a major contractor or consultant.
• Familiarity with API RP2A, AISC and AWS standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for production processes.
