Production Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Lead to plan, coordinate and oversee production activities across our shipyard, vessels and project sites. The role ensures optimal use of manpower, machinery and materials to meet schedule, budget and quality targets while maintaining a strong focus on health, safety and environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and coordinate production activities in the yard, onboard vessels and at project sites in line with project schedules.
• Ensure all production personnel comply with company HSE policies and participate in daily toolbox talks.
• Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Procurement and QA/QC to secure work packages, drawings, materials and procedures.
• Optimize resources – manpower, machinery and materials – and raise any shortages to the Operations Manager.
• Monitor productivity, minimise waste and re‑work, and drive improvements through automation or new techniques.
• Supervise Production Staff and Trade Supervisors, manage leave schedules and maintain workforce discipline.
• Ensure production work follows project specifications, quality requirements and approved procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe yard environment and coordinate with HSE and Security to protect personnel and assets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading production teams within marine, shipbuilding or oil & gas environments.
• Strong understanding of HSE standards and QA/QC processes.
• Ability to plan and allocate resources effectively and to resolve constraints quickly.
• Excellent organisational and supervisory skills.
