Production Manager – Quarry Operations

About the role

The Production Manager will lead the Production Department of a quarry, overseeing daily operations, manpower, and maintenance activities. The role ensures production targets are met while maintaining quality, safety, and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise overall production operations, plants, manpower, and daily activities.
• Plan and achieve production targets in line with the annual budget and sales requirements.
• Ensure finished products meet required quality standards.
• Oversee production machinery, fleet, facility, and air‑conditioning maintenance.
• Plan and monitor preventive maintenance and coordinate breakdown repairs with the workshop.
• Minimize production downtime and ensure optimum machinery performance.
• Coordinate with Sales, Crusher, Purchase, Stores, and Workshop for smooth operations.
• Forecast and arrange required spare parts and maintenance materials.
• Prepare production and maintenance reports for the General Manager.
• Prepare and monitor the annual Production Department budget.
• Monitor performance of Production Engineers, Supervisors, and Operators.
• Ensure all activities comply with company safety procedures.
• Drive productivity, cost efficiency, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in production or plant management.
• Strong knowledge of production machinery and maintenance practices.
• Proven leadership, planning, coordination, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Capability to manage manpower, budgets, production targets, and maintenance activities.
