Production Officer - Documentation

About the role

EPYGEN is seeking a Production Officer – Documentation to join its Production Department in the UAE. The role focuses on maintaining accurate production records, ensuring compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and supporting smooth manufacturing operations in the food, biotech, or pharma sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, update, and manage daily logbooks, production records, raw material (RM) receipts, sample submissions, and temperature books in line with GDP.
• Assign tasks to sub‑ordinates, monitor progress, and enforce strict HSE compliance.
• Coordinate audit preparation and ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards.
• Receive production requests (PRQ), verify Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) before start‑up, and arrange RM for production runs.
• Conduct physical stock‑taking of RM, packaging materials, and consumables as scheduled.
• Guide operators on production activities, oversee palletisation, label printing, and shipment dispatch procedures.
• Handle sample submission to QC, maintain backup and retention samples, and manage RM inspection for weight, damage, lot, and expiry details.
• Maintain equipment and preventive‑maintenance records, COA/SDS files, and consumable purchasing for the department.

Required profile

• Science graduate (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Food Science).
• 2‑5 years of experience in manufacturing within food, biotech, or pharmaceutical environments.
• Strong understanding of GDP, BMR, and HSE standards.
• Ability to work accurately under tight production schedules.
