Program QA/QC Engineer - Civil

About the role

KBR is hiring a Program QA/QC Engineer for its Power and Water Transmission Scheme project in Abu Dhabi. The role oversees the project quality management system and acts as a PMC, managing technical and functional coordination between systems, disciplines and multiple contractors. It supports the QA/QC Manager in maintaining the Program Quality Management System (QMS) across all program projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support the QMS and monitor compliance of consultants and contractors with approved quality plans, procedures and specifications
• Monitor internal and external audit schedules, audit reports, NCRs and observations, and maintain the audit tracker
• Coordinate monthly QA/QC reports, weekly dashboards and quality performance summaries
• Track quality KPIs and prepare performance dashboards for management review
• Follow up on NCRs and corrective actions, and support root cause analysis
• Take part in site quality surveillance, inspect ITPs and review inspection records, RFIs, MIRs and FAT/SAT reports
• Oversee quality controls for civil works such as earthworks, piling, concrete, foundations, cable trenches and duct banks
• Organize QA/QC meetings, prepare action trackers and escalate major quality issues to the QA/QC Manager
• Maintain lessons learned registers and support continuous improvement

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of QA/QC experience in civil construction on power projects (grid stations/substations, overhead lines or underground cables)
• Proven experience in a similar role on programs of similar scope
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills, able to work under pressure
