Project Coordinator – Material Submittal

About the role

The Project Coordinator – Material Submittal will work on‑site in Umm Al Quwain, ensuring that all material documentation is prepared, organized and submitted in line with project specifications and consultant requirements. You will act as the central point of contact between design, production, procurement and external stakeholders to keep material approvals on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, organize and submit material submittals, including technical datasheets, samples and transmittals, for consultant/client approval.
• Track the status of each submittal, follow up on comments, revisions and re‑submissions, and maintain an up‑to‑date Material Submittal Log/Approval Tracker.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, Estimation, Production and Site Teams to ensure materials meet specifications and are delivered on time.
• Review project drawings and specifications to verify compliance and assist in material procurement after approval.

Required profile

• At least 36 months of experience as a Project Coordinator, Document Controller, Project Administrator or similar role in joinery, fit‑out, interior works or manufacturing.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, follow up with consultants, contractors, suppliers and clients, and handle material approval processes.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills with good written and verbal communication.

Required skills

• Microsoft Word and Excel (MS Office) proficiency.
• Experience with construction material specifications, technical documentation and material submittal processes.
• Ability to work with drawings, specifications and approval trackers.
