Project Development Engineer - Airside

About the role

Daikin Middle East and Africa is looking for a Project Development Engineer focused on air‑side solutions. You will be responsible for selecting and specifying fresh‑air handling units (FAHUs) and fan‑coil units (FCUs) for projects across the UAE, ensuring they meet design criteria and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out equipment selection for FAHUs and FCUs, preparing detailed selection reports and quotations.
• Coordinate pricing and technical details with the Sales Engineer.
• Prepare technical submittals, including data sheets, compliance statements, and equipment schedules for consultant approval.
• Utilise software tools for FAHU and FCU selection and support the sales team with preliminary and final submittals.
• Ensure all project tasks are completed and submitted before deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Working knowledge of air‑side products (FAHUs & FCUs) and HVAC design principles.
• Understanding of heat‑load calculations, refrigeration cycle and psychrometrics.
• Familiarity with local codes/regulations and sustainable building design principles.
