Project Director - Infrastructure

About the role

Parsons is looking for a Project Director in Abu Dhabi to lead the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects. The role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, clients, budgets, schedules, quality, safety and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of large-scale government and commercial building projects.
• Manage interdisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, consultants, contractors and subcontractors.
• Serve as the primary company representative to clients, government agencies, tenants and stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver project reports, presentations, briefings and correspondence.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, execution plans and resource requirements.
• Coordinate activities across design, engineering, construction, facilities and operations teams, including projects in occupied facilities.
• Oversee scope, quality, health and safety, risk and compliance, and monitor progress, milestones, costs and deliverables.
• Identify and resolve risks, delays, cost overruns and scope changes; negotiate scope changes with clients and subcontractors.
• Maintain change orders and project documentation, run project status meetings and track action items.
• Ensure compliance with government procedures, industry standards, contractual requirements and regulatory approvals.
• Provide technical and strategic guidance to project teams and build client relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in project management, civil engineering or a related technical or business field.
• Minimum of 18 years of relevant engineering or project management experience on large-scale programs.
• Professional registration or licensure may be required.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience working with clients, stakeholders and senior management.
• Willingness to stay actively involved in the technical and design aspects of projects.

Required skills

• Broad technical and business knowledge, with a strong understanding of project delivery and management principles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of applicable industry standards, practices and procedures.
