Project Director – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of major and complex infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role involves senior leadership, client interaction, and driving innovation within a global multidisciplinary consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for complex project delivery.
• Lead and oversee multidisciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Act as senior point of contact for clients, contractors, consultants, authorities, and key stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with scope, programme, quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
• Oversee project performance, risk management, resources, and delivery strategies.
• Drive coordination across engineering, construction supervision, project controls, commercial, and other technical functions.
• Identify project risks and opportunities and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 20+ years of professional experience in project management, engineering, construction, consultancy, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading Independent Verification (IV), Independent Supervision Consultancy (ISC), or similar consultancy‑led project delivery assignments.
• Track record of successfully leading large, complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of project management, controls, construction supervision, contract administration, risk management, and stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with industry standards, best practices, regulatory requirements, and project governance.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Chartership are advantageous.
