Project Director - Mixed Use Developments

About the role

The Project Director will lead the delivery of large‑scale mixed‑use developments for a leading real‑estate developer in the UAE. This senior position is responsible for strategic planning, programme management and ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, budget and quality expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and delivery teams to develop project briefs and technical requirements for consultant procurement.
• Lead the selection, appointment and management of external consultants, ensuring compliance with contracts, schedules and budgets.
• Develop and present project delivery strategies and progress updates to senior leadership.
• Identify early‑works opportunities and drive value‑engineering initiatives to optimise design and cost.
• Oversee risk management, health, safety and environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate scheduling, change management, reporting and claims with project controls teams.
• Partner with procurement and commercial teams to manage contractual and commercial matters.
• Secure statutory approvals, permits and regulatory clearances in coordination with authorities.
• Provide leadership to Associate Directors and project teams, ensuring effective execution.
• Monitor consultant and contractor payments, ensuring timely certification and resolution of issues.

Required profile

• Strong background in construction project management within the leisure, travel or tourism sectors.
• Proven experience delivering large‑scale mixed‑use or master‑planned projects.
• Excellent knowledge of construction regulations and safety standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Relevant degree in construction, engineering or a related discipline.
