Project Engineer – Civil Works

About the role

Azizi Developments is seeking a Project Engineer to lead civil works for substation projects across the UAE. The role involves close coordination with consultants, contractors and internal teams to ensure projects meet DEWA standards and are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise civil works execution for substation projects.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Ensure compliance with DEWA regulations, standards, and approvals.
• Monitor project schedules, site progress, and construction activities.
• Review technical drawings, method statements, and project documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and enforce quality and safety compliance.
• Resolve technical and operational issues on‑site.
• Coordinate material requirements and site resources.
• Prepare progress reports and project updates for management.
• Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in civil construction, preferably on substation projects in the UAE.
• Mandatory DEWA approval and strong knowledge of DEWA standards.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate site activities and execute projects.
• Understanding of construction safety and quality standards.
• Currently residing in the UAE.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with project management tools.
