Project Engineer

About the role

Nova International General Contracting is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the Construction Manager in planning, coordinating and executing site activities for branded residence projects across the UAE. The role ensures construction works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day construction activities and coordinate with site engineers, supervisors and subcontractors.
• Review and interpret IFC drawings, shop drawings, method statements and technical specifications to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with the Planning Engineer to prepare look‑ahead programmes, monitor progress and propose recovery actions.
• Prepare material take‑offs, coordinate material requests and follow up with procurement for timely delivery.
• Support QA/QC teams by ensuring inspections, implementing ITPs and rectifying quality issues.
• Enforce HSE procedures on site and work with HSE teams to eliminate unsafe practices.
• Maintain daily and weekly progress reports, site diaries and documentation for handover.
• Liaise with consultants, client representatives and attend technical meetings to obtain approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Project Engineer on building or villa construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil, structural, MEP coordination and finishing works.
