Project Engineer - Waste Water Treatment

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead wastewater treatment projects from conception through completion. The role involves close collaboration with design and engineering teams, ensuring timely delivery, client approval, and strict adherence to quality, safety and budgetary standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, organise, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
• Liaise closely with the design/engineering team to develop final designs and secure client approval.
• Prepare technical data sheets, material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, RFPs and other construction‑related documents.
• Develop detailed project plans and monitor progress against schedules and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with ISO and OHSAS company policies and procedures.
• Manage changes to scope, schedule and costs, communicating variation orders to clients promptly.
• Identify and analyse risks throughout the project lifecycle and implement response plans.
• Conduct project close‑out walk‑throughs with the client and verify completion of all close‑out documents and punch‑list items.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of GCC experience in project management of water, wastewater or industrial effluent projects, including at least four years as Project Manager.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Experience with a manufacturing company in water & wastewater treatment is preferable.
• UAE driving licence.
• Fluent English; Arabic preferred; German a plus.
