Project Engineering Manager – Substation

About the role

The Project Engineering Manager – Substation will lead all engineering activities for substation, PV and BESS projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. The role involves coordinating multiple disciplines, managing resources and driving optimisation across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and assign engineering work, set priorities and ensure timely completion according to specifications.
• Coordinate across PV, BESS, OHTL, civil, structural, MEP and instrumentation teams, resolving engineering conflicts.
• Align engineering deliveries with the overall project schedule in partnership with the Project Planning Manager.
• Conduct regular project and internal review meetings to monitor progress and improve productivity.
• Review engineering documents, calculations and drawings, ensure compliance with local standards and obtain client approvals.
• Oversee BIM implementation throughout the project.
• Support vendor and procurement activities, clarifying technical requirements and reviewing submissions.
• Collaborate with remote engineering offices, local consultants, authorities and stakeholders for approvals and adaptations.

Required profile

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 17–20 years of experience in PV plants, BESS plants and substation projects, preferably with leading contractors.
• Knowledge of GOST, Uzbekistan local practices and IEC standards.
• Fluent in Russian and English.
