Project Finance Controller – Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a senior Project Finance Controller to provide end‑to‑end cost, commercial and financial control for complex engineering and infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role bridges project management, engineering, procurement and finance to deliver accurate cost visibility and profitability throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain project cost structures, budgets, commitments, actual costs and forecasts.
• Monitor cost performance, identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare cost reports, cost‑to‑complete forecasts, cash‑flow forecasts and margin projections.
• Support revenue recognition, customer billing, payment applications and invoicing milestone management.
• Review supplier and subcontractor payment applications and ensure contractual compliance.
• Assist commercial and contract management activities, including variations, claims and extension of time impacts.
• Produce periodic management reports covering cost performance, revenue, margin, cash flow and risk.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in project cost control, quantity surveying or project finance on large EPC or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of FIDIC or equivalent contracts and commercial mechanisms.
• Professional certification such as RICS, AACE, CPA or CMA is an advantage.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• ERP systems – SAP, Oracle or equivalent.
• Power BI, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project.
• CostX, Candy, Aconex or similar cost‑management platforms.
