Project Financial Controller - ICT Projects

About the role

The Project Financial Controller will support the financial and operational management of major ICT projects, working closely with project, sales, procurement, delivery and collection teams. This role ensures financial visibility, manages project risks and drives profitability throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a financial business partner to project teams, supporting performance and decision‑making.
• Manage project budgeting, rolling forecasts, financial analysis and performance reporting.
• Monitor project revenue, costs, profitability, cash flow and financial KPIs against approved budgets.
• Identify financial risks and cost‑control opportunities with sales, procurement, delivery and collection teams.
• Support month‑end and periodic project financial reporting and performance reviews.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams across locations and contribute to continuous improvement of financial‑control processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in project finance, controlling, management accounting or a similar role.
• Experience in a project‑based, technology, telecommunications, engineering or infrastructure environment is preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP/financial systems and project‑management systems.
• Knowledge of Power BI or other financial reporting/visualisation tools.
• Strong financial‑reporting capabilities.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, CIMA (advantage).
