Project Manager – Electrical (Oil & Gas EPC)

About the role

Our client, a leading EPC contractor in the United Arab Emirates, is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee the delivery of brownfield and upstream Oil & Gas projects. You will be responsible for guiding projects from engineering through construction, commissioning, and hand‑over while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of electrical EPC projects.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, QA/QC, and HSE.
• Oversee project schedules, progress reporting, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Act as primary interface with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Control project budgets, forecasts, variations, and claims.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• At least 5 years in a Project Manager role delivering EPC projects.
• Proven experience on brownfield upstream projects, including shutdowns, tie‑ins, and live‑plant modifications.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Previous experience in the UAE or GCC is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Electrical engineering expertise.
• Substations, switchgear, transformers, power distribution, MCCs, and cable networks.
• Primavera P6 and/or MS Project proficiency.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
