Project Manager – Port & Terminal Infrastructure

About the role

Gulftainer is looking for a commercially‑aware Project Manager to lead capital projects for ports, terminals, logistics and related infrastructure. You will own projects from feasibility through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, working closely with technical, operational and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assess new port, terminal, warehouse and depot development opportunities, reviewing site data, operational requirements and regulatory constraints.
• Identify risks, constraints and potential blockers during site investigations and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare preliminary layouts, scope definitions, ROM CAPEX estimates and project schedules.
• Challenge design proposals for constructability, cost, phasing and future expansion.
• Manage multidisciplinary consultants (civil, structural, architectural, MEP, marine, utilities, traffic, fire safety, specialist systems) and ensure delivery of design deliverables.
• Drive project execution, monitor programme, cost and risk, and escalate strategic issues when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience managing large‑scale infrastructure projects in ports, terminals or related sectors.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to take full ownership of projects.
• Proven ability to work across technical, operational, commercial and stakeholder interfaces.
• Capability to challenge consultants and contractors while maintaining focus on programme, cost, risk and operational requirements.
