Project Manager – Retail Construction

About the role

Our client, a leading design and construction consultancy, is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a major retail construction project in Dubai. The role involves overseeing the project from concept through to completion, ensuring design quality, construction delivery and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle, aligning with client objectives, programme, budget and quality standards.
• Manage and coordinate design across Concept, Schematic and Detailed Design stages, delivering design packages on time.
• Review and approve design submissions, drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Oversee construction progress, contractor performance, site activities and compliance with project requirements.
• Chair progress, design and coordination meetings with consultants, contractors and client representatives.
• Identify risks, manage change control and resolve technical and design‑related issues proactively.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, international codes and best practice standards.
• Prepare project reports, dashboards and updates for senior leadership and client stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in project management within the consultancy sector.
• Proven delivery of retail, mixed‑use or commercial projects in the UAE or GCC.
• Strong capability in design management and coordination of multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership and client‑facing abilities.
• Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management; PMP certification preferred.
