Project Surveyor III – Buildings (Post‑Contract)

About the role

The Project Surveyor III will lead post‑contract cost management for building projects, working closely with the site supervision team and design and client representatives. This senior position requires autonomous decision‑making while collaborating with AECOM’s multidisciplinary experts.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating claims and variation orders.
• Prepare financial updates, monthly cost reports and earned‑value reports.
• Assess and value progress payments and change requests.
• Review and compare scopes of work, production rates and cost data.
• Prepare, review and update cash‑flow forecasts.
• Estimate variation orders for contractors and subcontractors.
• Negotiate variations, change orders and final account settlements with contractors and the contract administrator.
• Integrate with design and client teams to align cost information.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience on large‑scale infrastructure or housing projects.
• QS or Engineering degree (MRICS preferred).
• Dynamic, forward‑thinking and self‑managed.
• Presentable and personable team player.
• High level of professionalism, initiative and creativity.
• Excellent English communication; Arabic a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities and build effective internal relationships.
• Problem‑solving and lateral‑thinking skills.
• Ability to act with discretion and safeguard confidentiality of project data.
