Project/Site Engineer (MEP) – Dubai

About the role

The Project/Site Engineer (MEP) will oversee and coordinate all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works on construction sites in Dubai. The role ensures that MEP activities are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, schedules, quality standards and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily MEP activities on site, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and local authority regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors and other engineering disciplines to resolve design conflicts and keep the project on schedule.
• Conduct site inspections, prepare snag lists and monitor quality plans, QA/QC inspections and safety compliance.
• Manage procurement, delivery and installation of MEP materials, equipment and tools.
• Lead testing, commissioning and hand‑over of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire‑fighting and ELV systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
• 4–8 years of experience in MEP construction projects, preferably with GCC/UAE contractors.
• Familiarity with UAE local authority approvals, building codes and regulations (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, Civil Defense, municipality).
• Valid UAE driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire‑fighting and ELV systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with testing and commissioning procedures for MEP systems.
• Understanding of project planning and scheduling software.
