Proposal Lead - Advanced Technology

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Proposal Lead – Advanced Technology to drive the development of technical and techno‑commercial proposals for advanced water and wastewater treatment solutions across the United Arab Emirates. The role will collaborate closely with sales, engineering, procurement, technology partners and business leadership to deliver robust, cost‑effective solutions that meet customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation of technical and commercial proposals for advanced water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Translate tender specifications into fit‑for‑purpose designs, including design basis, water/mass balances, process calculations and preliminary equipment sizing.
• Prepare technical offers, bill of quantities (BOQs), PFD/P&ID inputs and commercial proposal data.
• Evaluate alternatives based on CAPEX, OPEX, lifecycle cost, energy consumption and overall customer value.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure feasibility and competitiveness of proposals.
• Present solutions to customers, handle technical discussions, clarifications and pre‑bid meetings, supporting sales negotiations.
• Maintain databases of costs, technologies, project references and competitive intelligence.
• Define and validate performance guarantees, operating envelopes, assumptions and technical risks before submission.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment, including industrial water reuse, ZLD/MLD, high‑recovery RO, brine management and advanced membrane technologies.
• Proven track record in developing techno‑commercial proposals and leading bid teams.
