Public Health & Fire Engineer

About the role

AESG is seeking a Public Health & Fire Engineer to design and deliver water supply, drainage, sanitation and waste‑management systems for buildings and infrastructure projects across the region. The role combines technical design, consultancy and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with local regulations and sustainability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Design public health systems including water supply, drainage, rain‑water harvesting and waste management.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications and calculations using AutoCAD, Revit or equivalent tools.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors and other engineers to integrate health and fire safety solutions.
• Provide consultancy services to clients, supporting business development and project execution.
• Ensure designs meet BS EN, CIBSE, local codes and sustainability frameworks such as LEED, BREEAM or Estidama.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Environmental or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in public health engineering or similar fields.
• Familiarity with high‑rise, hospital or complex facility projects.
• Knowledge of relevant standards (BS EN, CIBSE) and sustainability rating systems.
• Experience with hydraulic modelling and analysis software is preferred.
