QA Engineer - Web Applications

About the role

A full-time QA Engineer is sought to ensure the quality, reliability and performance of web applications. The ideal candidate has experience in manual testing, API testing and test automation, and can identify bugs and prevent production issues. Experience of 2-5 years is required.

Key responsibilities

• Understand requirements and create test plans, test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity and exploratory testing.
• Test web applications across browsers and screen sizes, and validate forms, APIs, authentication, permissions and end-to-end workflows.
• Run API tests with Postman, including error handling and negative scenarios.
• Develop and maintain automated tests with Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
• Track and verify bugs in tools such as Jira, and perform basic database validation with SQL.
• Work with developers and product teams on quality releases, and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

Required profile

• 2-5 years of QA testing experience for web applications.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing and test case design.
• Proactive, able to think beyond happy paths, find edge cases and investigate issues independently.

Required skills

• API testing with Postman; understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes and JSON.
• At least one automation framework: Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
• Familiarity with browser DevTools and debugging network requests.
• Basic SQL and bug-tracking tools.
• Preferred: React, Angular, performance testing, web security basics, Git, CI/CD, Agile, and testing of complex workflows and dashboards.
