QA/QC Engineer – Infrastructure

About the role

Al Marwan Group is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to ensure quality standards across heavy civil and infrastructure projects in Sharjah. The role involves developing quality plans, conducting inspections, and coordinating with consultants and authorities to deliver projects on time and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and implement Project Quality Plans (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Carry out daily inspections of earthworks, asphalt paving, concrete structures, excavations and utility installations.
• Review and approve method statements, material submittals and laboratory test reports.
• Identify quality issues, raise Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, steel and other construction materials.
• Conduct internal quality audits and support ISO 9001 compliance.
• Liaise with consultants, clients and regulatory authorities during inspections.
• Prepare quality reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for project quality processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of QA/QC experience on heavy civil and infrastructure projects in the UAE.
• Proven experience with roads, bridges and related infrastructure works.
• Strong knowledge of UAE authority requirements and international standards (AASHTO, ASTM, ACI, BS EN).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015; Lead Auditor certification is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and communication abilities.
