QA/QC Engineer - Infrastructure Projects

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer will implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System for infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, approved drawings, technical specifications, authority regulations and international standards. The role spans the entire project lifecycle from construction through testing, commissioning, handover and close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and QA/QC procedures.
• Ensure construction activities comply with contract specifications, approved drawings and quality standards.
• Coordinate inspection activities, witness material and field testing, and review laboratory reports.
• Review and manage Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), Site Observation Reports (SORs) and corrective action plans.
• Maintain quality registers, inspection records and project documentation.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, authorities and testing laboratories on quality‑related matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
• 10–15 years of QA/QC experience on major infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, public realm and transportation projects.
• Familiarity with UAE authority requirements and FIDIC contracts.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems, ISO 9001, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, document management systems (e.g., Asite) and quality reporting tools.
• Experience reviewing material approvals, laboratory testing, NCRs, SORs and quality documentation.
• Understanding of construction quality standards and FIDIC contract administration.
