QA/QC Engineer

About the role

RIBCRAFT Boat Building LLC in Abu Dhabi is looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer to manage quality assurance and control across the manufacturing of Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIBs) and composite vessels. The role ensures compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, marine standards and classification requirements from lamination to final acceptance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure vessels are built to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and classification requirements.
• Conduct inspections at all production stages, including incoming materials, composite lamination, hull‑to‑deck joining, outfitting, electrical systems and engine rigging.
• Develop and implement Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists and inspection procedures.
• Identify non‑conformities, issue Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and verify corrective actions.
• Perform Pre‑Delivery Inspections (PDI) and support final vessel acceptance and hand‑over.
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports and testing documentation.
• Coordinate inspections with third‑party surveyors, classification societies and customer representatives.
• Work with Production, Engineering and Project teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of QA/QC experience in boatbuilding, shipbuilding or related marine manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of composite boat construction, GRP lamination, hull and deck assembly, marine outfitting and mechanical/electrical installations.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings, manufacturing specifications and marine quality standards.
• Currently based in the UAE, preferably Abu Dhabi, and available for immediate joining.
