QA/QC Engineer – Piping

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer – Piping will plan, implement and monitor quality control activities for piping fabrication, installation, testing and documentation. The role ensures compliance with contract specifications, approved drawings, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and relevant codes and standards across oil & gas, industrial and civil projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review contract specifications, piping drawings, isometrics and material specifications to identify quality requirements.
• Prepare and implement ITPs, inspection checklists and material inspection/testing plans.
• Monitor piping fabrication and installation on site, conduct daily inspections and verify compliance with drawings, method statements and ITPs.
• Receive, log and process Requests for Inspection (WIR/RFI) and coordinate inspections with consultants and clients.
• Inspect received piping materials, fittings, valves, flanges and bolting against approved submittals.
• Verify welder qualifications, WPS/PQR compliance and oversee welding activities.
• Coordinate and witness NDT activities and pressure testing, ensuring procedures and acceptance criteria are met.
• Review welding records, NDT reports and pressure test documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of experience in QA/QC for piping projects.
• Familiarity with piping codes, standards and industry best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings and specifications.
