QA/QC Inspector - Civil / Architectural Snagging

About the role

This position is for a QA/QC inspector covering civil and architectural works, focused on snagging inspections of completed construction units. The inspector identifies defects, documents them and prepares reports, then coordinates with site teams so that issues are fixed in time.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out detailed snagging inspections of finished works against project specifications and quality standards, using checklists to assess finishes, fixtures, fittings and installations.
• Identify and record defects in materials, workmanship and installations, using measuring tools, levels and testing equipment.
• Document each snag with a clear description, photograph and location reference, and prepare snagging reports grouped by severity with recommended corrective actions.
• Share reports with contractors, project managers and other stakeholders, and follow up until defects are closed.
• Ensure rectified works comply with specifications and quality standards, and verify completion before sign-off.
• Support final inspections and handover readiness, attend client meetings and inspections when needed, and suggest improvements to inspection processes.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil, Architectural, Mechanical or a related engineering discipline.
• 1-2 years of experience in construction quality inspection or snagging.
• Basic understanding of construction drawings and project specifications.
• Experience conducting snagging inspections on completed units.

Required skills

• Knowledge of snagging procedures and QA/QC documentation and reporting formats.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to use measuring tools and basic testing equipment.
• Good communication, teamwork and attention to detail.
